Pick n Pay unveils revamped flagship store

Pick n Pay’s flagship store On Nicol officially welcomed customers after a comprehensive revamp. The refurbished store has an exciting array of new offerings with the very best in retail concepts developed in South Africa and from around the world. Customers can expect an enhanced fresh food experience, a huge focus on product quality, a much-improved range, innovative third-party services, and refreshed customer service.

A superb, wider variety of handpicked products and offerings aims to create a one-stop shopping experience for customers.

With a greater focus on fresh and convenience, the store has expanded its fresh produce, butchery and fishmonger sections to boast an extensive selection of healthy and affordable options. These areas will be stocked with Pick n Pay’s new and improved range of own brand products which have also recently been renewed to incorporate new flavours, product ranges and packaging.

Making it easier for customers to make healthier choices, the retailer has introduced easy-to-read LiveWell labels to its new own brand range. At a glance, customers can easily identify the products’ health benefits and know exactly what they’re putting in their shopping baskets and whether it fits their eating plan.

The store’s bakery, deli and prepared meal counters have undergone significant upgrades and are now bigger and better with a more diversified range on offer. This area is now an inspirational food market destination for customers.

New speciality areas have been added to include a freshly squeezed juice offering, a chocolatier, and a dedicated coffee station with a signature Organic Coffee blend. The popular sushi counter – famous for its half-price sushi on Wednesdays – has been completely revamped, and a new Teppanyaki grill bar has been introduced to provide an authentic Asian offering for customers.

The very popular social gathering place Thyme on Nicol has been refurbished and customers can look forward to an exciting new menu.

For wine lovers, a new wine cellar features a tasting table to sample local wines, with a wine advisor on hand. Beer enthusiasts can get freshly poured draught craft beer from the liquor store’s new Growler bar to enjoy at home.

A new Wellness Zone boasts a PnP pharmacy and offers a full range of clinic services from the MyLife Healthcare Centre.
